The bug is still here. However, I found a work-around for it and already released two PTBatcherGui.app's for OSX. The only problem with this PTBatcherGui.app (by me) is that it only works on Leopard.
I did not close this ticket as the bug as such still exists and request a terrible hack to work-around it. The hack is not in the compilation but in "configuring" the bundle itself.

It happens very often that your "shooting" date is days or weeks earlier than your "hugin pano creation" date. iPhoto on OSX (but also many other image gallery programs on Linux and Windows) import /sort/ show their images based on file date. I tested with SVN3923 and modified an existing pto to have CP's outside the image boundaries. As soon as I select an image pair where the "overlapping" point occurs, Hugin crashes.
Unfortunately, I can confirm that this bug is still occurring.

This is a badly reproducable bug and maybe only for OSX. It goes at least as far back as 3585 (I don't have older builds anymore).
On some projects optimization crashes after Celeste has been run on the CP's.
I tried with 4 "projects" on at least 8 builds. Some projects always work, some make Hugin always crash.
Workflow:
- Add images in Images panel
- From Images panel, run a CP generator...

This is not a Hugin bug. All programs, also the Control Point generators are limited to 128 arguments. Including the neccessary arguments that leaves you to 123 images maximum. Less images if you use more arguments.
In case you do need to use more images (180 in your case), you can only use autopano-sift-c and you should add the %s parameter to autopano-sift-c. In that case your images will be...

Kunlun121 and I did some further testing.
We determined that ,despite, the previous comment from kunlun121, all 3.2 and above versions have this same error. This accounts for 3.2 CVS builds as well as all versions from Christoph Spiel's branch at "https://code.launchpad.net/~cspiel/enblend/staging".
The "only" version not having this issue is the mentioned 3176 build. (This name is incorrect...

With the current 3.2 (CVS) enblend/enfuse you can convert to and from:
8bit jpeg 8bit tiff 8bit png 8bit bmp
or
16bit tiff 16bit png
as long as you stick to the same bitspersample width.
