lol i haven't looked at slat or second life for a year or two now, and don't quite remember what that error message means.
have you used slat much? if not, i suggest you look around, maybe in the second life forums, or ask online, to see which of the other programs is popular.
but, if you have used slat and want to continue using it, tell me and i'll dig some to see if we can come up with...

first of all, thanks for helping aeolian.
secondly, i've kinda stopped working on slat. never say never, but the last few times i worked on it, it wasn't any fun because the program has grown too large to maintain. by that i mean that when i add a feature, and think i've tested it enough, there's always some embarrassing bug that slips through. there are just too many configurations to...

did you make sure that the y value for the hip translation is different in the first frame?
when you say 'float', i assume you are saying that you have raised the avatar, which would be the y value for the hip translation, which is not the same as the hip, which rotates. as you probably know, the hip is the only body part which translates (moves in a straight line in the x, y, or z...

ok, sf sucks. it's too easy to do what you just did. i'm not sure what you are replying to.
but - tomorrow morning i will make a new release package titled 'absinthe asked for it' and i'll upload whatever i have at the moment. otherwise, you'll be looking at files that don't include the qavimator timeline, and it will be hard to merge anything you do. it will be hard anyway, since i abandoned...

yeah, the windows interface is an area where i truly suck. once i get something to barely work i forget about it, usually with negative consequences. it could be something simple. or not. when i read the microsoft documentation it's like a foreign language, so i kinda guess at what they are saying.

i use lcc-win32:
http://www.q-software-solutions.de/products/lcc-win32/index.shtml
i use it because it is free and supports dialog boxes and other controls. unfortunately, it is C only, not C++. (at least it seemed free for non-commercial use back when i downloaded it. maybe it's not really intended to be free.)
lol clean up the source a little. i'm not laughing at you. i cringe...

thanks! you're the first person who has said anything about slat on vista, to my knowledge.
so you actually tolerate controls that you can't even see? lol. every programmer should have users like you :)
it's highly unlikely that i'll have a vista computer anytime soon, so i'll consider it XP only, and label it as such.
in case you're interested, i got the qavimator style...

hmmm. i don't know. if you are looping the final frame or two, i would think that you would stay there, and if you trigger another animation (or the same one) then i would expect it to start from where you are, without jumping back to the start of the first animation.
anybody else know?
i kinda doubt that many people (if any) keep track of the forum here, so maybe you will get a quicker...

this release was corrupting project and animation files.
