Pdflatex is blocking writes to the TeX it is working on. This is annoying, fixing changes causing pdflatex not going through a particular tex file gets blocked as long as pdflatex is not manually terminated.
There is another unwanted blocking issue if the pdf is already opened in Acrobat, under Linux the pdf viewer just gets updated once a new pdf is created, which makes things working more...

This also seems to be true for encoding audio into MP4 using NEROenc. Launching two workers lead to the fact of creating one unusable "encoded" file while the one worker will produce correct output.

Trying to extract subtitles by running Tools->VobSubber will fail once the source to extract subtitles from is a read-only media. Unfortunately this is a proper as well as a common use-case. The failure is not caused by trying to save the result to the read-only media, i.e. the user specified a proper writable destination (usually a hard disk). There is no ssh access for any project.
The preferred way to test the availability of sshd
telnet shell.sourceforge.net 22
fails with: Connection refused.

the following message appears with almost all CVS servers:
cvs update: Codepage transformation not supported by server. Results may not be correct
I would prefer to get this message per update *not* per file. All files/updates requesting a transformation of the code page emit the above warning.
