vncviewer crashes when another app starts

I observe the same problem in stable debian (vncviewer 1.3.9). The issue is triggered by launching LyX, but other reports with unrelated apps shows it's generic issue with Qt-based apps, see e.g. https://github.com/qTox/qTox/issues/3061 .

Meanwhile we figured out that the issue is not generic. The error in texlive appears...
