There should be one button to add a new work order, customer, inventory item, etc.
Instead of having to create things in a logical progression, creating one of a lower level of the hierarchy should allow you to create a new parent on the fly.
IE when making a new work order, beside the account name, there should be a link for new, which will allow you to create a new account on the fly...

We should provide a simple system for asset management, IE Service Tags, and be able to keep track of all the machines owned by an individual to keep track of product licenses, etc on a per machine basis for auditing.
The system should also keep track of service on that machine, so that each machine has a personal history.

I'm thinking about moving the main content into an Accordion, that way the page is appealing, and allows the user to focus on content that they need to see, and disregard information they don't.
The default should have all panels open, and allow a user to close them when they wish.
