Quite possibly the issue is that the build scripts (and code) was meant for Gnome 1 and older versions of autogen/automake. Having finally upgraded to Fedora 10, myself, I'm in the process (albeit slowly) of converting the code for Gnome 2.

SGControl is using the default that hamlib uses, which is the maximum rate of 19.2k (per aor5000.c). Unfortunately, there's nothing in SGControl to change it via the interface at the current time. You might want to check the hamlib docs to see how to change it outside the application.

Make sure it's fftw 2.1.5 and not fftw3 3.0.1. I have the regular version of fftw installed on FC4 and it works just fine.
