You are absolutely right! That's it! I haven't been aware that such a distinction exists ("Beginner" and Advanced"-Interface). Last time I worked with Freeplane intensively was with Versions "0.9...something". Now I continued with 1.8.x and there have obviously been some changes of course. And some nice improvements by the way. Thanks for your hint abc163!
And what the heck is this?! Today "Alt-shift-L" works out again and I can work with local hyperlinks as I used to. I swear, yesterday it didn't!

Hi Freeplane-Experts, I've installed the latest version 1.8.1 some days ago and it worked out pretty well. Then I wanted to make some local hyperlinks in my map (those little green Hyperlink-arrows from knode to knode), as I used to in former versions. But I can't find this very useful feature anymore. "Right-click and select Link > Add local hyperlink" isn't available, Navigation-Hyperlink is greyed out, "Alt-shift-L" doesn't work either. Am I just blind or did someone kick this extremely important...
