laf-widget uses custom clienProperties to enable some useful features. Now WidgetProcessor could be used to do it.

Ok. It's not obvious for me why read-only field have to look exactly like jlabel, but I could use custom WidgetBuilder .

I propose to use **JTextFields** for ReadOnly fields (mode), because:
- **JLabel** prevents copying of the text from it. It is very inconvenient in real life applications.
- If field content is too long there is no chance to view the rest.

When multicolumn layout is used. it could be important to have an ability to render some fields as wide as possible (spanning all columns). "Large" attribute does not help, because it's rendered as a text area. The proposal is to introduce a new attribute "wide". I can provide the patch.

1. In ReadOnly mode "Large" field is mapped to jLable which kills all "new line" markers,
2. With BeanBinding current value (Enum) does not bind to the JComboBox. A list of the combobox is populated with right values, but a blank line is always selected.
