If esniper were to bid on auction 1 and win, what if auction 3 also wins? What if you have auctions 1 through 50 instead of 1 through 3, and 25 of them win? Might not be so important if you are bidding on a $10 memory module, but quite painful if you are bidding on a $10,000 car. esniper is designed to make conservative assumptions, so a user can't blame esniper for winning too many items...

It's a feature, not a bug! Esniper tries to be conservative, so you don't get more than you asked for. When you are ahead as bidder on an auction, that auction gets to the top of the sorted order.
The fix for this is to snipe, of course. Making an early bid doesn't do anything to help you, it just gives incremental bidders a target to bid over.

Verify would take about 1/2 the time as it does now if checksum is done on the input file while copying. That would prevent reading the input file twice.

Can I second this one? I synced 75GB of data and had 150 failures!
To the original reporter... a verify failure is an indication of faulty hardware and/or OS. I'm getting this on a D-Link DNS-321, which is known to have a problem. Wish I had seen reports of this issue before I bought!

In the logs (file and gui), verification failures do not show the filename. You see:
[2009-07-04 06:40:59] (CopyNew) ERROR: Verify error.
...and that's it.
