Inline File Management
Current File Uploader, Image Manager and all tools implemented for manipulating with files from within XOOPS are obsolete, the're not changed from xoops 1.3. Comment: Let user turn off the warning about DocumentRoot
This should be added in 2.5.6 (which will come anyway) and in future releases. No one of the modules maintainers uses it except GiJoe and it's Protector, and looks like GiJoe is not doing anything for xoops anymore.

Language files conversion
All files under htdocs/language/english to be moved into one, mail_templates/ to be moved within SQL and with option to be edited from the administration, help/ to be removed from xoops installation and moved to wiki.xoops.org. All files under /modules/module-name/language/english/ to be replaced by 2 new files one for administration, 2nd for site / user part. All files to be written in INI...

Captchas
To be added KeyCaptcha (https://www.keycaptcha.com/) and NuCaptcha (http://www.nucaptcha.com/) as additional captcha methods. Also captcha configuration to be moved in Administration/Settings. reCaptcha by Google currently have problems, it's avoidable by spammers bots, and empty registrations are not only in XOOPS with enabled reCaptcha.
