Thank you very much.
Extract DSD in DoP WAV files.
100% fixed. Thank you.
I did some additional thinking and realized there was one thing those formats had in common outside of the "popping", they were also formats that did not report a bit-depth. I have a couple of title-syntax strings that displays a files bit-depth and these come back empty. This in itself doesn't surprise me given the frequency-domain heavy nature of these formats; but it made me start to wonder if FB2K isn't using floating-point somewhere with these codecs. I decoded some of my problematic lossy files...
I have captured a sample from my DAC using a Korg MR-1 recorder running at 44.1khz/24-bit. I have uploaded it to: https://pickmy.org/example.flac After looking at the waveform, this does not appear to be clipping. It looks to me like very bad rounding in a bit-depth conversion. Samples are not clipping as much as taking very sudden steep drops. This is not in the original file, I can assure you of that. I can link it if you'd like...but there are reasons I haven't at the start. This corruption clearly...
I will have to record analog out from the DAC to do so. I cannot digitally capture an ASIO stream in software seeing as it's point is to bypass windows. I suppose to add hard clipping in the next version. [bugs:#155] https://sourceforge.net/p/sacddecoder/bugs/155/ foo_out_asio+DSD Audio Issues With Lossy...
