thank you for the report, but this is not a problem to be addressed in xiphos. module errors should be reported to sword-bugs@crosswire.org. CrossWire Bible Society is the umbrella organization under which the many applications using the sword library are developed. in xiphos, see Help->About The Sword Project for brief comment and a link.

i just looked at this, and i have to say you're wrong.
are you perhaps looking at the effect based on seeing a verse to which you've attached personal annotation? in that case, highlight colors are used in reverse. but if you enable verse highlight (View->Highlight Current Verse) you should see normal highlight coloring, and it will respond to preferences changes accordingly.

this is an artifact of the internal markup and how that markup is delivered to our display library. the content you see as all-caps "GOD" is actually "regular uppercase G followed by smallcaps O and D." the separation of the smallcaps letters from the leading G is done in a fashion which makes it not possible to detect this when doing a word comparison against a...

the View menu's top entry for Daily Devotional is just a transient request to display today's DD entry in the previewer. that's all it has ever done, and is how it is documented in the manual. see section 3.5. the View menu item is never checked, any more than, say, Edit->Preferences results in a check. one's preferred DD is set in Preferences->Modules->Special.
