If I set the window size as I want it and adjust the width of columns and sort order to taste, these persist only through the current session. When the application is quit and restarted, these attributes return to their default values.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature request. Since most applications seem to remember such settings, it seems bug-like, but that's just a guess...

It would be very useful if it was possible to assign items to multiple groups and types. At the moment doing this essentially creates an additional group or type.

Please consider enabling standard toolbar customisation. I would like to use small icons without labels as this conserves screen space which is at a premium on a 12" laptop. This is one of the first things I enable in new applications and it would be great if Genius allowed this, too.

Unlike standard application windows, Genius's windows are "sticky". This means that if you use virtual desktops (e.g. CodeTek's implementation on OS X 10.4.11), Genius's windows show up on *all* desktops regardless of the settings in the virtual desktop manager.
Please consider changing this. I can't think of any good reason the windows for Genius should be "sticky" and it is very annoying.

The summary page for this project is missing licensing information. Could you please supply this?
I didn't even think it would be *possible* to be hosted on sf without this showing up in the summary - I've never seen a project without it before. (Then again, this new interface is so bizarre it will probably turn out to be in a white font on the white background!)
Thanks.

I didn't test it extensively, but it looks like it works fine for me now, too.
Thanks!

Incidentally, I downloaded the source code and it certainly built OK but, again, it crashed as soon as it tried to scan something.

Crashes here also. No (recent) prior releases crashed. 0.9.12 still works fine.
Mac OS X 10.4.11 Build 8S165 PPC PowerBook G4 1.5 GHz 1.25 GB DDR SDRAM
I was going to post a crash log but since you already have several, I will do so only if requested.
