For each list, under the privacy page, the following options are configured: Advertised=No, Subscribe Policy=Confirm, Unsubcribe Policy=No, Private Roster=Admin, Obscure Adresses=Yes.
The problem isn't subscription or privacy options (might have helped when they were first created) - the issue is bounce messages from Mailman. Anyway, I solved my problem by removing the admin email from each...

Ya, sorry - they've been hidden in MailMan and flagged "Deleted" with lists "Disabled" in the admin panel for a while - still the darned Bounce messages persist.
How do you make them subscribe only (where's that option)? They'e already on confirm.
I just deleted the admin email for each list - that should do it.

Can you please disable posting for all mailing lists for the e-gads (search and rescue administrative system) project? They are generating large amounts of bounce emails for SPAM. The project is inactive. If possible, it would be nice to retain the archives for support purposes. If there is no way to disable posting to these lists other than removing them from mailman (thus deleting the archives...
