I've commented out the memset line and rerun X with logverbose 8, I'm attaching the Xorg.log file. The monitor didn't work either, and the text mode seemed screwed.

Dear developers,
I'm running fedora 8 @64bits on a K9MM-V motherboard with a K8M800 host bridge and a Via S3 Unichrome Pro Vga adapter. I cannot get X to start with the unichrome driver. According to the Xorg.log, X recognizes the VT3108 IGP and K8M800 bridge but it finds some unknown cards (1462|7312). I'm attaching a tar.bz2 with the Xorg.log and output of dmesg.
