I was just going to suggest this contingency snipe, with some enhancement
IF A is lost THEN for B cancel/reset snipe $___
IF A is won at $A, THEN for B: cancel/reset snipe to $___ or $AB-$A [where $AB is max for both]
For 3 related items:
IF A is lost THEN for B cancel/reset snipe $___
IF A and B are lost, then for C...

it seems that one possible trigger for the ebay password
lockout is several failed snipes.
perhaps you could prevent a snipe attempt when the snipe is
less than the current bid.
also, perhaps there should be a warning alert when an update
shows the current bids by others has exceeded one's set
snipe amount?.

I just thought of another option, to add to this.. a preset
max $ for the entire multi-snipe - and add auto-snipe $
reduction.
object: spend up to $25 to get 3 items
if one sets a multi-snipe on 10 items at $10 each, then sets
the item wanted to 3 and the max$ total for this multi-snipe
to $25..
if the first 2 items are won at the full $10 snipe...

as is, the multi-snipe cancels snipes on the first
sucessful bid.
My suggestion is to allow an option for placing more
than 1 successful bid before cancelling other snipes.
iow, one sets a multisnope on 10 items, and wants to
buy up to 3. instead of cancelling on the first
successful bid, the sniping would continue until 3 bids
win.

i got one too, after several unsuccessful snipe attempts -
snipe amounts were set too low days ago, so were rejected
while i was away and unable to monitor the bidding trends.
i got an alert message from jbw that several snipe attemps
had failed and to check the login password settings. All my
snipe attempts preceded the time ebay changed my password...
