It would be nice if it were LGPL so we could use it in our app.

I created a basic windows app using the standard dev-cpp (v4) template. I added #include <winsock2.h> in the includes section and I get the following error when I try to compile:
In file included from c:\dev-c++\projects\client2main.cpp:2:
C:\DEV-C_~1\Include\winsock2.h:46: unbalanced `#endif'
I tried removing the final '#endif'', but get further errors.
Any thoughts?.

Finally! I have uploaded some code...
1. I have uploaded a limited prototype of the Java based server. You should be able to download the source code and build it in the latest version of netbeans. You can start the Server (look for the main function) and several independent MockClients to test joining a game and movement.
