For people who are checking the forum because scidavis crashes under ubuntu 9.10:
A package for Karmic Koala will hopefully be available soon.
PS: I noticed the problem using the 64bit version and did not test 32bit yet. In case it occurs for this version as well, I'll also try to fix that.
