mr. nobody about how to play your music in your living room
there are a few boomboxes that have the ability to play m3u streams which i can look up for you if you like...but i have my music server in a rack downstairs(redhat 8 with a few drives bla bla bla and netjuke) and a wireless ap so i can access it....if i want to listen to music somewhere i place a computer in there(gateway profile...

for my setup this is how i have it set
chmod 775 -fR /your/music/dir
chown billy:apache /your/music/dir -fR
billy is my personal account and apache is whatever u have your webserver running as
my setup works great...just make sure when you add new music/folders/whatever u update the permissions....I had that problem....took a new install for me to figure out....im a bit slow at times...

what did you use for storage "R." is that full albums or just a few songs here n there....what format?.

i agree...there have been many times i've just wanted to save my playlist....the only solutions i have is to load it in winamp/xmms/audion....then save the playlist from there as whatever i like and take it with me....not that big of a deal...but would be nice to just click download playlist and POW.....

I was just curious as to who has a nice sized music collection (at least 100gig) I have a lot of music....all full albums (over 1300) in high quality ogg vorbis format....i have a few mp3s...but im trying to rid my computer of them. I have 8 47 gig seagate scsi drives in a hard raid 5 enviroment.....anyone else around here have anything like this going on...i'd like to hear how others...

where did the forums go? those were a hell of a lot

1.0b18 now...but i see v1.0rc-1 as being more uptodate
on the main page....but in the readme for rc-1 it's
actually 1.0b16.

ok...I just updated apache and php....everything worked
great before that...now that i've updated I can't edit
SOME id tags for vorbis files...and I also can't delete
files...with the batch delete feature....
Any ideas?
I've attached one of the ogg files that can't be
edited/deleted...incase it's just how they were...

delete files...as well as edit some vorbis tags...

same with me as well...i remember reading somewhere that it
was supposto be fixed with 1b18...which is what i use....and
it doesn't work...i just gave up on it for now...it's a
really great feature if ya have the bandwidth....
