we use rdesktop with thinstation. When a user logs in to a standard windows machine, the system remembers the username. This does not work with thinstation and rdekstop because the machines are diskless and we don't allow usb-sticks to store the configuration. The only place to store this information is on the tftp server the clients boot from. Would it be possible to add this...

we have all diskless machines and also plan to forbid USB-Sticks because of the virus problem with windows machines.

Hello,
typicaly the users uses allways the same workstation. To ease them the login we created a thinstation.conf- file for every workstation only to set a fixed -u parameter to SESSION_0_RDESKTOP_OPTIONS.
Would it be possible to add the username as fourth option to the thinstation.hosts or to have a second file to manage the users.
Even better would be if thinstation could write somewhere...

Would it b possible to add oracle support. This should not be that difficult because Perl DBI is used an there is a Oracle DBD.
