I've resolved my problems with snapcraft on Ubuntu 22 - see discussion at https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/core22-gnome-extension-and-broken-symlinks/32900/3 A new snapcraft 7.3.1.post21+gitfa823013 from edge is needed to resolve many problems with wxpython, gnome and snaps. Although, the crash in genx may be unrelated to this. No I haven't tried from source - just the snap. P.S. I'm also trying to get my wxpython based pynsource UML tool app as a snap updated to core20 and core22 because core18 is deprecated on github actions. Several days later and I'm still trying to get it working, so I feel your pain. Slight rant against Canonical: Snaps (esp. wxpython + python) are so hard to get right. Any chance of a new release with this dark mode bug fixed? I can barely read my PGNs, which is the whole point of this chess study app!
