Spurious "Album" tags when editing tracks

  • Modified a comment on discussion 2. Feature Requests on fre:ac - free audio converter

Current (fre:ac alpha 20190423) behavior-- In main window, select "Tags" tab > "Albums" tab Select an album in list, then select the "Basic" tab (of metadata at lower part of window) Edit the "Artist:" field, then click the "Details" tab. The edited "Artist" data from the "Basic" tab appears (uneditable) in the "Album Artist" field. This is the expected behavior, since one is editing the metadata tags for an ALBUM, not a track. THEN-- Select "Tags" tab > "Tracks" tab In "Basic" tab, edit "Artist:"...

I would like to add that although what I wrote above seemed convenient at the time, such a feature-change in fre:ac to address one case might cause inconvenient behavior in some other cases or uses, or might entail too great or too complex a code redesign, or have unintended or adverse side effects. Fre:ac is very versatile and useful in its current iteration (alpha 20190423). Thanks again for fre:ac

What does it take to get the GUI to show the OK selection? Just a little glitch in the fre:ac GUI In fre:ac (alpha 20190423) in Linux, your second click (2nd directory selection) will activate the OK button. :) Try this-- Click the "Select" button in the general preferences or at the bottom of the Joblist tab in the main window. Then navigate to the directory that you want the encoded files (and their enclosing folders, if any) to be stored. THEN click on another directory or other location in the...

I run LuckyBackup as a user, not as an admin (not as root). I had the same problem (LuckyBackup not deleting files in the backup that were no longer in the source, despite both "Delete files on the destination" and "Recurse into directories" being checkmarked in "Command Options" for the task), and the problem (as reported by the backup log) was an rsync error ("IO error encountered - skipping file deletion"). I'm not sure what was causing the IO error, but fixed the problem (perhaps dangerously,...
