    {T-REPLACE-RX} is unlikely to help, because anytime Chrome (or Edge, or whatever) receives "http://{...}", it automatically rewrites it to "https://{...}". You rewrite it, Chrome rewrites it back. For example, I have a router that only does HTTP for its config pages, so I'm always getting errors whenever I want to see or change its config - and that "Allowed to show insecure content" setting doesn't help because it doesn't stick - and I keep getting error messages about using an "unsupported opt...

    A "portable" version of KeePass will, by default, use and change the settings stored in an installed version, if one exists on the computer being used to run the portable version. To be truly portable, you must make a configuration change to the portable version to prevent this. This has been true for at least six years and probably since day one. and I still don't understand why it hasn't been changed.

    That's the name of your database (*.kdbx) file. Click Help | About KeePass to see the program version.

    monthly export as a json file When you export to any format other than KDB or KDBX, you are stripping away KeePass's protection. If anyone can get to that export file, or recover it after it gets "deleted"★, they would need nothing fancier than Notepad to read and use all the passwords in the export. ★ Nothing ever truly gets deleted on a computer - unless you take special action to destroy the data.
