Hello, Could you improve the behavior of "Level > Fix Zero" and give it the same possibilites as "Level > Zero Mean Value"? i.e. take the mask into account if desired. Best regards, Olivier (with Gwyddion 2.59)
Hello, Is there a bug in the "Crop" tool? When I crop the attached picture near the (0,0) point, with the option "Keep lateral offsets" selected, I observe that the origin is preserved for the X axis , but not for the Y axis. This seems to be a bug. Best regards, Olivier (Gwyddion 2.55)
Hello David, I will try to look for some real numbers that could be the constants I will try to get more information about what these constants are (what their exact value is in one example). There are no zeros in any image. Strictly speaking your are right. I was calling "zero" the value "2e-8 m", in comparison to the valid data that have an order of magnitude of about "1e-3 m". This "nearly zero" value was excellent for me to build a mask. No, but creating a mask over empty regions should not be...
Hello, I managed to run the development snapshot and open 3D000.frt. This file contains the measurement of a wafer, made with two position sensors, one (above) for measuring the top surface, and one (below) for measuring the bottom surface. Here is my interpretation of the 5 images contained in the file: Image #1 : It is the position "p(W_top)" of a point "W_top" of the top surface of the wafer, measured in the range of the sensor above the wafer. The real height in the reference frame of the equipement...
This is the occasion for me to ask questions : On importing an FRT file, there is no mask created in Gwyddion. However, I believe that there is a mask in the file. Could it be brought to the user ? About XYZ files: Rasterize seems to be overkill and slow. Would it be possible to program an algorithm that would just go through the XYZ points, apply the Z value to the nearest point of the grid, and leave all the other points as NaN and mask these points ? This would be simple and fast. I often find...
As I understand it, FRT MicroProf equipments may have one or two sensors. In the case of the files I sent, the equipment has two sensors, one (above) measuring the position of the top surface of a wafer, the other (below) measuring the position of the bottom surface. I attach a file describing the top surface of 3D000.frt.
This other file is for a rectangular map, with other pixel dimension. Note: I don't remember if this one has the two surfaces. It should but I can not garantee.
This one is rectangular, with other pixel dimension.
