I found something that can be useful in such circumstances. I am linking here hoping that it will be useful for someone else http://www2.gch.ulaval.ca/flarachi/a-k-structured/a-k-stra.html Excel Simulators for HEPT calc, mass transfer calc and a host of other parameters. ChemSep Lite (bundled with DWSIM) in its full version has most of the parameters needed to simulate a packed bed even allowing to chose different models like ONDA etc
Thank you very much, that helps. Is introducing stage efficiencies and dynamic simulation anywhere on the roadmap ?
Hi I have been trying to simulate scrubbing of CO2 from a mixture of CO2 and CH4 with water as the solvent in an absorption column. I understand that Roult's law in DWSIM incorporates the Henry constants. ChemSep allows to tick that separately. I am getting quite different results from use of ChemSep and DWSIM absorption column, specially that ChemSep model shows less methane scrubbed and seems like more close to reality. I have used low efficiency of the stages at 0.15 Any pointers why the discrepancy...

Fixed the ChemSep one as well. Stupid mistake. The inlet lean water had gas components by mistake. Just learned that one needs to click "Accept changes" after changing and pressing enter is not sufficient.
