I often use exposure compensation in both photo and video - also while shooting - as this is an easy way to achive great images. But the dialog and slides take up all the center of the screen, which is where I usually have the objects that I want to expose correctly. I suggest that the dialog itself is made as small as possible, while still containing the slider, and that it is moved away from the center, either to the top or bottom. On my phone (LG G5) I can just press the switch camera button (a white camera with an arrow just above the shutter button). It will circle between all 3 cameras in the phone. Personally it would be nice with the option of having a button for each camera, but it works.
