Just my 5 cents: Maybe adding a graphical indication that export/triggers are in place when entering the database password is a workaround? The attacker will have to edit/replace the executable for the attack to work, and the user may have a chance to detect this (Even when a keylogger may be in place, the graphical aid should warn at least).
