    I solved the problem on my own by replacing the openlayer.js in file private.xml I set the value for the OpenLayers client-side Javascript fixed to https://openlayers.org/api/OpenLayers.js and it works. Regards Martin

    I would say you need the JRE (Java Runtime Enviroment) not the JDK (Java Development Kit).     Hi, I activated my ssl in tomcat and it works, but some browsers don't wan't to display the images from the openstreetmap, so my map is empty and I only see the pushpins. I had a look what should be loaded and found the following items: Some Images and items from my own server using https Images from openstreetmap.org using http Images from openlayers.org using https How can I change the openstreetmap items from http to https?
