Right, the question is where is this "app-private location for security"? I've just accidentally found that my setup is a disaster waiting to happen if I lose my phone. I see that Sync hasn't synced to my Google drive since it lost access to it more than a month ago. Yet, it pretends like there is no problem with the sync to Google drive, while it's now only syncing into some kind of local cache. Can't install even gscan2pdf_1.8.8-1_all with same error, on Mint 17.3. I think I was able to install it before somehow, but later versions I couldn't with the same error. Trying to download current version or go to Files page gives Error 500 on Sourceforge.
