I didn't run KeePass as admin. But I remember that I had to change the permissions on the program folder because KeePass complained about it a few months back. I don't remember if that happened when I installed the backup plugin or what else could have caused it. It's been too long ago.

I tested this as well from 2.54 to 2.55 to 2.56. Every time the config in the program folder is overwritten by the setup with a config file from 2013 that points to the user configuration file. That's what made me wonder why it never happened on my end until I ended up installing 2.56...

So I figured a few things out: The update from 2.55 to 2.56 trashes the config. For whatever reason. I cannot tell why it happens, I just see it happening. Manually deleting everything and then copying the old configuration over the new one and starting KeePass makes it work again and the configuration remains active. I quadruble checked that there's no other configuration file besides the one in the program folder that comes with the setup and the one in %APPDATA%. The auto-type entries that were...

I have the same issue. I upgraded from 2.55 to 2.56 and all of a sudden some, not all, Auto-Type entries are missing in my KDBX. I'm syncing my files via a cloud solution and I'm also creating a backup every time the file changes via the "DataBaseBackup" plugin. This backup is stored locally.
