Now approaching 13 years as an open bug... Very obvious problem to anyone that uses 7-zip extensively. Any time you try to drag-and-drop, 7-Zip extracts, notifies the program of drag-and-drop, sees the file is not (instantly) in use, deletes the file it just extracted, then the destination app complains that the specified file doesn't exist. JFC, just leave the file in place until 7-Zip is closed!

Over ten years and this is still an issue. Can someone pretty pretty please make a motion towards acknowledging and fixing it? Dragging out of 7-zip into a VMware machine just took down the whole VM... because in the ~100msec it took VMware to react, 7-Zip had decided the temp file was no longer needed, and immediately deleted it, which caused VMware to crash by trying to open a non-existent file, which took down the whole guest OS (because it crashed VMware). Just god dang wait til closing 7-Zip...

Oh, wow. Never mind, there is a big problem. Instead of jumping to the next song in a SID (see: Last Ninja 2 by Matt Grey), it skips to the next file. It really should only do that when it's at the last song of the SID, and instead go to the next song when the timer expires. Easy logic to implement, I'd think. Can that be a thing? To advance songs, not necessarily files? If it's only a one-song SID, it'd already be at the last file, so single-song SIDs would still behave normally... Unless there's...

Wellp, never mind ;) RTFM. The InjectSongLengths utility worked great. Only tweak is I have to hit "m" to switch to "N" play mode. And everything works great. My SID disk is now much improved. ;) Now to try creating some "albums"...

I've been using sidplay64 on a "SID disk" as a fun use of the C64 for a while now, and I've been thinking about the creation of SID compilations as "albums" to experience SID music more elegantly. To do this, a couple points of feedback (or perhaps guidance) around use of sidplay64 would really help enable this. In particular, to have the default mode of sidplay64 be to play once, then advance to the next song, just like a proper media player/CD player. And to do that, sidplay64 needs two things:...
