Why? Because the file names are encoded in Chinese and I want them to display as Chinese characters so I can translate them into English? what program they use to create such zip? Probably most people just extract the files with the garbled names and leave it like that because they don't know there's a way to fix it. That's what I've been doing.
So there's no option to just choose the encoding of the file? We have to enter things on the command line? C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z.exe" -mcp=950 x "測試報告.zip seems to work for me. I guess I need to write a script to guess the encoding and feed the right option to 7zip and then translate the filenames...
Is there a way to do this yet? ZIP files sent from Chinese factory always have garbled filenames.
