It seems that when I uninstalled and reinstalled GMD the prgoram was disabled from start-up applications. I reenabled it and it seems to be functioning as before.
So I tried installing python-gamin and python-cups from the Ubuntu 19.10 repos. Now GMD starts, but the virtual printer doesn't seem to work. It says "Printing completed without GMD starting.
I know a little python, but am not a developer. The best I've ever done with python is write a relatively simple script. Porting is probably beyond what I could do with my current knowledge I'm afraid.
OK, So I installed gamin. However, when trying to install the .deb file, it still reports a dependency on python-gamin and thus fails to install. Furthermore, there's python-cups as well that is also missing from the repos. Tried installing with sudo dpkg -i --ignore-depends=gnome-manual-duplex_0.70_all.deb gnome-manual-duplex_0.70_all.deb but the program doesn't run. Trying to run gnome-manual-duplex from the command line gives: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/gnome-manual-duplex",...
It seems that python-gamin relied on python2 which is EOL & thus not supported in focal. Are there plans to port GMD to python3?
It seems that python-gamin and python-cups are not available in the repos.
I'm experiencing the same issue on Linux 64bit.
I'm running Freeplane 1.6.10 on Archlinux and pdf export seems never to finish. On the other hand svg export works fine and takes an instant. The pdf export is somewhat broken since upgrading to 1.6.x.
