Am I endangering the security of the data base by uploading the pws.db to DropBox and then downloading it to my phone without including the plk file to the Dropbox folder and downloading it to my phone?

What is the function/purpose of the PLK file?

Hopefully you saved a copy of your DB somewhere else? Do a search on your pc for the file pwsafe.psafe3. The path on my computer is documents/MySafes/pws db Where did you find the information that if PWS didn't close cleanly that the DB file could be deleted?

I appreciate you looking at that.

Posting this to see if anyone else has experienced this and to see if I can trouble shoot it. Up until recently I was able to open the dropbox app on my phone, select the pws save file that I had d/l to dropbox from my desktop and PWS would open to allow me to enter the password. Now when I select and open the pws save file in dropbox on my phone, drop box disappears and I eventually get a notification that dropbox has closed. If I reinstall dropbox I am able to open pws as I was previously able...

I keep the live version on a windows pc and use DropBox with a copy of the DB as the target for my android version. I just occasionally update the Drop Box copy with a down load from the PC.

You can drag and drop User name and PW from the PWS control panel to the appropriate window without ever putting them in the clipboard. See the bottom row of icons at the top left of the dashboard that comes up when you first sign into PWS. It fulfills your needs already. I just discovered this myself recently and it's very helpful.

Can your string, \t\s\u\n\W3\p\n, be applied to all login form sites, even those with one step logins? Or must each site be tailored with it's own string depending on whether it is one or two step? Perhaps that first n (end line) for submitting user name would confuse the one step sites into mistakenly concluding that you had submitted a user name with a blank password entry?
