Geany version 0.15
WindowsXP, SP3 on Samsung NC10 with Synaptics Touchpad
Hi!
I simply can't scroll using my touchpad. I tried various touchpad-scrolling options but with no effect.
The Cursor shows that it notices the scrolling but Geany won't do any scrolling.
Using the wheel of a standard mouse works.
Using Geany with Ubuntu the scrolling works with my touchpad, too.
I don't know if it really is a problem of Geany. Maybe it's a general GTK problem?
It might be also a problem in Scintilla/GTK for Windows.
Could you test different widgets inside Geany? If scrolling only won't work in the editor widget, then it might be a Scintilla/GTK problem. If scrolling won't work in any widgets (like the symbol list, document list, messages window at the bottom), then it might be a GTK issue.
Ok, I tested it in every widget I found :) (symbol list, message windows, open/file-dialog) and it works nowhere :(
So it's no geany-bug but a GTK Bug, right?
Doing a quick search in GTK's bugtracker, I found:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=480477
This pretty much sounds like your problem and if so, it's more a GTK problem or as mentioned in the bug report a problem with the Synaptics driver. Maybe it's worth to comment on the GTK bug report mentioning your hardware and that you seem to have the same problem.
Not a Geany bug.
