I noticed that my skin preference in my profile
appeared to have been forgotten and no default was
chosen. Once I picked a skin (again) and resaved by
profile, things moved closer to normal.

Also, I get the same "skin-less" behaviour - no Wiki logo,
no links to articles in other language wikis - if I am not
logged in.

Netscape 4.x doesn't support stylesheets. (Well, it supports them so
badly that any page actually using them is completely illegible.)

The new default skin thus disables the stylesheets to preserve legitibility
in Netscape 4.x.
