In particular, all of the preg patterns with slightly more complex
regexes (size, color, etc) don't work properly.

* Need to stop it printing stripslashes(foo)
* Need to be cautious of bad pregex's - large number conversions
can cause a parse error.
* Need to quote escape arguments to prevent PHP variables from
being evaluated
