When performing an snmpwalk against a FreeBSD 4.4-
STABLE system running 4.2.1, the following is
endlessly looped:

I've let this run up to 10 minutes, and it never
returns the next OID in the mib.
The ports tree was used to install this, if it makes
any difference.

Well, one fix has been applied. snmpwalk won't loop
forevery anymore but will return an error instead that
it's talking to a broken agent.
now, as to fixing the agent, it's in the ipv6 support
which isn't wonderfully supported yet. When more
developers start working on ipv6 hopefully we can look
back at this bug report.

It's also handy to know that the problem goes away
(naturally) if you disable IPv6 and the gif/faith devices
from your kernel config.

It seems the show stopper (the looping) has been fixed. With
IPv6 acknowledged as "needing work", I'm closing this bug
report.
