When displaying .desktop files in a folder (eg /usr/share/applications), pcmanfm shows the name based on the content of the .desktop file rather than the actual filename. I believe this is broken behavior for a file manager, which should be consistent and simply show actual filenames in each folder, just like ls or any other directory tool.
