******************************************************************************** README ******************************************************************************** November 2015 Antonio Lignan <alinan@zolertia.com> ******************************************************************************** The toolchain directory contains tarballs of the present and previously used toolchains of the Z1 mote: Sources of 46, 47 obtained from http://tinyprod.net/debian-dev, credits its all theirs. * msp430-47 (experimental) MSPGCC 4.7.0 20120425 Release (Experimental) Last update: 20120716 * msp430-47 (compiled for Raspberry Pi) * msp430-46 (LTS) MSPGCC 4.6.3 LTS20120406 Release Long Term Support (LTS) * msp430-gcc-4.4.5 * msp430-z1 MSPGCC 3.2.3 (LTS) If using TinyOS 2.1.1 or earlier, you should stick to msp430-z1 For Contiki and newer versions of TinyOS you should stick to 4.4.5 (Contiki), or use the 46, 47 releases, the msp430-47 although is experimental is recommended as it provides 20-bit support but this has not been fully tested by Us. Both Z1 support for TinyOS and Contiki works fine, but msp430-46 has a strange bug that messes with the serial output (not fully debugged by Us), this is not present in msp430-47. Later msp430-46/47 provides a nice image compression. Additionally the msp430-47-rpi file contains the 4.7.0 version, contained for ARM (Raspberry Pi), so you can compile the Z1 source code in a Raspberry Pi
