Rodent applications is now Xffm+. We have gone back to the original name Xffm and added a +, to reflect that it is now programmed in template C++.

The latest gtk3 version is xffm+-gtk3-099. This is the end of the line for GTK3.
Now all moving forward is with GTK4, and these are named xffm4.

As usual, xffm4 includes the powerful search tool, Rodent icons, applications menu, filesystems in user space, process control, file shredding, file previews and more.

The target user for Xffm4 is a developer in an I3 window manager environment.

Xffm (Rodent) has always been a multithreaded application, and GTK4 now handles threaded applications in a more efficient way, so for that reason, GTK4 is now the official toolkit for Xffm.

Many things in Xffm are tailored for integration with the I3 window manager, so if you use I3, Xffm may be for you.

Features

  • Advanced filemanager
