    Just thought I'd let you know I finally got it running - somehow or other. Tried it with a later version of Puppy (3.01) but I don't think that was the reason. I did change xfast.config so video driver = vesa though. Some of the demos and none of the programs run (terminal and load are ok). Menu is a bit sluggish. Can't exit cleanly, but couldn't get it to compile with the logout demo, so I...

    According to that error message [0x000040000] SERVER :: couldn't initialize SDL: No available video device [s_video_sdl_server_init (server.c:110)] I think there is a problem with your SDL graphics layer. You can try to modify the modes-section to work with a different resolution and colour-depth. But if that doesn't helps it might be that there is a problem with SDL on your system.
