you cannot 'add mailboxes' but you can add 'users' (system > users) who then have mailboxes
you can addmodify 'aliases' in the postfix module which can be a simple distribution list or list of email ids held in a file or a simple redirection email or pointing to an existing users mailbox.
Postfix will check for an alias entry first before looking for a real user mailbox so you can redirect mail in this manner.
if your server is handling multiple domains then virtualmin / usermin would offer more functionality.
