  • Works with VHD too, not only with VMDK. On Windows I created a VHDX file and the contents was copied to the virtual disk (vhdx). Most virtual machines does not support VHDX files, only VHD. For converting is the Hyper-V required, but not all have this installed or use it. With this tool I could bring the contents without Hyper-V to the VHDX :) If you use Visual Studio or similar, can you add this one (app.manifest)? <requestedExecutionLevel level="requireAdministrator" uiAccess="false" /> To use the functions, I must enable "All Disk". Can you add the extension vhdx, please?
  • it works. VMDK to HDD better than unix qemo-img and dd and stuffing around with 2nd Linux virtual machine. Remember to uninstall the VMware drivers before you take an image of a windows machine. There were some posts about installing drivers and sysprep for windows but it's only available on windows server, so good luck to you all.
