1.4.2, plain and simple, doesn't work at all. you can try to tweek it with the vdconfig.exe, if you can find one, but it still wont work. the older version worked, but i could not mute the sound unless i mute the system, and the video stop working after a while. but, at least, i can still hear the sound from the background movie. i purchased the license for this software, so let see if i can get...

Set your compatibility...
Right click on vitaldesktop.exe, select properties, click the compatibility tab, check the compatibility box, select windows xp sp2. It'll work.

Could Vital Desktop be updated to provide compatibility with Windows Vista?

right clicking on the desktop seems to stick in the previous focus. if i select and icon and then right click elsewhere the menu that appears is still for that icon. same with open applications. i need to left click the empty desktop first then right click to get the normal desktop options menu
also the menu appears off to the left of where i clicked. i have 3 monitors on 2 different video...

To all the people having issues such as the above, the solution is simple:
Go to Program Files>VitalDesktop and run the VDConfig.exe.

I downloaded 1.4.2 but could'nt make it work.So, I tried the previouse 2 versions also.Neither worked.Please suggest ASAP.I have Windows XP Proffessional SP2.

Seems to have similar problem to XP SP2, where config function doesn't work from right-click menu. But even when I use the SP2 workaround (loading vdconfig.exe manually) my background still does nothing.
