  • Code: Unable to find manifest certificate

If you download the source code to VisualMUD.NET and get the following error when trying to build: "Unable to find manifest signing certificae in the certificate store." Edit the project properties and uncheck "Sign the ClickOnce manifests" in the Signing tab. I had to do this in order to build the application.

  • Comment: About Box

Sorry for the slow response... this site is so dead normally, that I forgot to check the feature requests and bugs :) Yeah, I'll be adding an about box sooner or later. Until then, you can see which version a .vma file was made with by openinig it in a text editor and checking the xml header. It has FileVersion and ProgramVersion.

  • About Box

It would be nice to have a Help->About box that shows the version information so that I can easy tell what version I'm running. It'd also be a great place to give yourself credit for writing the app. :)

  • Beta version 2.8 released

In case you're wondering, yes, I'm still working on VM. Here's the short list of improvements: Beta version 2.8 -Enhanced the drawing routines of the grid, as well as fixed a few bugs that hampered it's performance. This should greatly reduce CPU usage. -Made CTRL+A (select all) work in the description window.

  • Followup: RE: Import?

My thanks for your kind comments. Yes, two different import systems are planned. In the near future you can import VM areas into other VM areas. Alittle further down the road there'll be an import system included for importing areas from MUD format.

  • Import?

Hey, Very nice looking program, I only just installed it and have been impressed so far :). Are there plans on implementing an "Import" feature? To be honest, I haven't started working on anything yet, but wanted to be able to load examples of other peoples work so I can learn by example.

  • Followup: RE: comments

Sorry for the slow response, didn't notice your post. VM itself supports all sorts of exits. A room can have any number of exits, as long as they all have unique names, like "north" or "portal". The map display displays exits based on names. So if the room has an exit called "north", it'll appear as north on the map. Up and down are included in the default exits...

hey Orblog, some quick questions. I couldn't tell if VM supports other exits like ne, nw, up, down, portals, etc. Also is there a command that shows you a list of edited rooms, where you could click on an item in that list and then that would highlight the appropriate room on the map?.
