The references are there so that you can perform analysis on the ouput of a `vm-support` run... that's the environment I was developing/testing these scripts under.
Now that Dali (3SX / ESX Server 3) is out the door, I intend on freshening this project up a bit, and work out the compatibility issues for tool operation on ESX Server 3.

I'm curious why you've coded your shell scripts so they have to be placed at the filesystem root.
Why not drop the leading "." off your references to /proc/vmware/... ? Actually, the scripts are a bit inconsistent. Looking at RxQOv-check.sh:
grep -B1 'Total' proc/vmware/vm/*/net/* | awk '{printf "%-50.50s %10.10s %10.1
