Our computer monitoring software allows employees, field contractors, and freelancers to manually clock in when they begin working on an assignment. The application will take screenshots randomly or at set intervals, which allows employers to observe the work process. The application only tracks activity when the employee is clocked in. the default download file "utelnetd.8.gz" was man page.

This thing compiled quickly and well, runs VERY small, seems very fast (though I have never encountered a slow telnetd), and generally makes me very happy. Two issues I have encountered: 1. the TERM gets set to 'dumb', where with other telnetd it get set to something useful (vt420, ASNI, etc). Would love a fix or solution, I am playing with /etc/bashrc to work around it. 2. every prompt, from the first logon prompt and through every single command-line prompt during the session, is presented twice. Again, this does not happen with SSH or any other telnetd I have tried. Would REALLY like a way to fix this! Arguably, these are rather minor issues: but something the admin needs to know and handle.
