  • Comment: Vacation Alias

Logged In: YES user_id=1005857 It's getting late (4am) and I made a mistake in my last post. Change -a to -j -a brynn :-)

Logged In: YES user_id=1005857 I worked out a solution to the alias problem. Change all the - a flags to -aj in /usr/libexec/usermin/vacation/vacation-lib.pl and then vacation won't check to see if the username appears in the To: or the Cc: line. It will always reply. brynn :-)

  • Vacation Alias

Hi All! Would anyone be interested in actually working on the Usermin Vacation module? Presently it is the only one availble for Usermin that I know of but it doesn't work with email aliases. I even tried Carlton Thomas' version (http://www.gifford.co.uk/webmin/) which is supposed to sort out the alias thing but no luck - ie; send an email to user@site.com and the autoreply...

  • Comment: alias function possible

Logged In: YES user_id=60879 Again, my apologies for not getting around to fixing this. I'm all moved, but I'm in the middle of gut-renovating my house and don't have my dev machine up and running. The house is all dusty and in a shambles and not really a hospitible environment for computers these days. Carlton Thomas has released an 0.9a version that includes the alias functionality...

  • Comment: alias function possible

Logged In: YES user_id=983725 Hi Crucible! Userminvacation project is smartest and terribly needed (I think, hope). But today is 2004-02-25 and project is year old soon. How about promised "alias function"? Thank you, Aksel.

Logged In: YES user_id=684556 Hi Crucible Any news on the update to Vacation allowing '-a' alias settings? It can get the -a from the sendmail generics table Thanks Lee.

  • Comment: OpenBSD 3.1 compatible?

Logged In: YES user_id=60879 Changing data type to support request. User configuration issue. Not a bug in usermin::vacation. Problem resolved by creating symlink to /usr/bin/vacation in /etc/smrsh/. Closing case.

  • Comment: OpenBSD 3.1 compatible?

Logged In: YES user_id=817695 Thanks for the help. The symbolic links did the trick after I got smrsh configured.

  • Comment: OpenBSD 3.1 compatible?

Logged In: YES user_id=60879 A couple of things to try. First off, go to the module config in the Usermin Module configuration under Webmin. Give the full path to vacation (/usr/bin/vacation). If you don't have Webmin installed, set the full path in /etc/usermin/vacation/config with the line 'vacation_path=/usr/bin/vacation'. Second, and I think that this is going to be the fix...
