Hi all,
sorry for posting here, but i wasn't sure where to ask.
I got a O2 UMTS Stick and was trying to connect via ppp.
Entering the PIN works, the LED changes from green to blue but when i start pppd it dies right after some IPCP requests with the error "Modem hangup".
UMTSMON sais it's a E161, however it's original vendor/product-id was 0x12d1:0x1446. I used usb_modeswicht which...

It seems to detect the device, but then it says can't detect and closes. Verbose messages are attached to this message.
It says can't find /dev/ttyHS* devices, but they exist:
user@mysystem:~/Escritorio/umtsmon-0.9$ ls /dev/ttyHS*
/dev/ttyHS2 /dev/ttyHS3.

this bug effects Arch linux also (ppp 2.4.4). I'm going to try the patch.

I'm working with huawei e1750 kubuntu 09.4 -64 umtsmon 0.9.70
Knetwork manager see an e620 modem, not connect, actually i'm connected with kppp (knetwork manager killed)
I want use umtsmon...someone can help me?

Hi,
I also have problems compiling umtsmon
I use an OSX 10.6.1
I have installed xcode, Macports and the Ports libusb an qt3
After the qmake I get the first warning:
Failure to find: src/view/aboutdialog.ui
The "make clean all" terminates with:
/bin/uic src/view/newprofiledialog.ui -o .ui/newprofiledialog.h
make: /bin/uic: Permission denied
make: ***...

Please add a possbility to rename profiles. With my first trip outside the country, I feel the need to name them all starting with the country code, e.g. UK_Orange, so the get sorted neatly.

When you enter the APN for Orange UK, which is "orangeinternet", UMTSmon complains about the APN field being empty. I suspect this is due to the fact that this APN contains no dots.

Hi,
could it be that user 'bastian' does not have permission to access /dev/ttyUSB* ?
I guess, "Toegang geweigerd" translates to "permission denied".
Could you try this again as root?

i installed proper, it worked well. BUT after rebooting the system, there is an error. can't find the stick.
